This is a one loop course on the scenic Zip Shuttle path around the FlatIron Crossing Mall. You can also use your time in this race to be seeded in the top 22 waves of the 2009 BolderBOULDER.

All participants will receive a race t-shirt and a one day pass to Lakeshore Athletic Club. After the race you can enjoy the expo with a free Gordon Biersch brew or soda, fries and music. Special awards go to age group winners.

Description

The 4th Annual Miles for Smiles 5K Run/Walk will be on May 23, 2010 at 9 a.m. The race is being held at Broomfield Commons Park. The scenic course is mostly on open space trails and has a beautiful view of the mountains. The race will start and end at the all purpose turf field in the middle Broomfield Commons. The race benefits the Two Angels Foundation, a foundation that helps provide adaptive recreational equipment to physically disabled children in Colorado.

This is a Bolder Boulder qualifying race. Prizes for the top 3 male and female runners in age groups 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over will receive awards, as well as the top male and female runner.

Description

Join us in this exciting and fun-filled event and help support the wonderful children and educational opportunities at Kohl Elementary School. The 5K course is certified by USA Track & Field (USATF) so official and timed results can be used as a qualifier for the Bolder Boulder or any other race! Afterwards, a free chidren’s 1/2 mile fun run will be held.

Refreshments, snacks, and goody bags will be provided after the race to all registered participants. Cash prizes will be awarded to both Men's and Women's 1st ($100), 2nd ($50), and 3rd ($30) place finishers. A $50 cash prize will also be awarded to the 50th place finisher! In addition, random giveaways including a 1 night stay at the Aloft Hotel in Broomfield, a luxurious 2 night stay at the Gant Condouminiums in Aspen, massages, and other great prizes will be awarded.

Race will be held rain, snow, or shine. In the interest of safety and fairness to competitive runners, no dogs are allowed. Families with strollers are welcome to participate.

Event Features Include: Official USATF certified course; Professional and experienced timing by Racing Underground with same-day race results; Free T-shirt with every registration; Water station along the route; Police safety at road crossings; and a free kids 1/2 mile fun run around Kohl Elementary School.

Broomfield Real Estate Buyers Take Advantage Of The Tax Credit

The federal tax credit for first-time Broomfield Real Estate homebuyers has been expanded. It now includes homeowners who have lived in their current home for at least five years and purchase a new home. Homeowners who buy a new home in Broomfield can claim a $6,500 tax credit. A tax credit is much better than a tax deduction because Broomfield Real Estate owners who buy a home will get the entire $6,500. First-time buyers will get $8,000 from the federal government.

Homeowners in Broomfield who want to take advantage of this great government program need to get their Broomfield Real Estate for sale as soon as possible and sell their house fast. They need to get their current home sold and get under contract to purchase their new home before April 30, 2010. There are income limits too. The income limit for single taxpayers is $125,000 and the limit is $225,000 for married taxpayers filing a joint return.
